As President and CEO of Moses Taylor Foundation, Danielle Breslin provides leadership and supervision for the organization’s daily operations, including strategic direction, governance and board administration, program development, financial management, operations, and external relations. Before joining the Foundation in March 2022, she spent more than 25 years working in the healthcare, philanthropic, and nonprofit sectors.
Danielle began working at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation in 2003, most recently serving as the Vice President of Operations and Learning. In this role she guided the organization’s operations, learning and evaluation, and communications functions. During her tenure, Danielle led the team through significant progression in strategy, processes, and culture, including establishing organizational values with a focus on equity. Her philanthropy efforts include serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, in addition to working with Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, North Carolina Network of Grantmakers, and Philanthropy Southeast. When Danielle is not working alongside the Moses Taylor Foundation team and board in service of the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania, she enjoys exploring small towns and visiting local shops throughout the NEPA region.

As the Finance Director of Moses Taylor Foundation, Emily Clifford oversees and implements all aspects of the Foundation’s accounting and investment functions. She joined the Foundation in August 2024, bringing with her a decade of experience as a Certified Public Accountant, specializing in the nonprofit sector. Emily is dedicated to leveraging her expertise to further the Foundation’s mission of building healthy communities within Northeastern Pennsylvania. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.

In her role as Senior Program Officer for Moses Taylor Foundation’s Strategic Initiatives, Christine Marcos pursues her passion every day working with partners to develop, implement, and evaluate the Foundation’s strategy and interventions in the areas of Preventing Older Adult Isolation and Expanding School-Based Health. She cites her family’s values around hard work and helping others as inspiring her love for community and leading to her interest in pursuing a career in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. She previously served in roles with United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania, The Blue Ribbon Foundation of Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. After ten years in the field, Christine describes her current role at the Foundation as her “dream job.” The creative, developmental nature of the work fits well with her passion for learning new things, and she also thinks that nothing beats the fulfillment of engaging in community-level efforts to improve health in the region where she was born and raised.

As Program Officer for the community needs responsive grantmaking portfolio, Lisa Savero-Mooney focuses on the priority areas of primary healthcare, mental health and behavioral health, dental care and oral health, healthcare workforce, and human services. Lisa brings substantial experience in the human service, nonprofit, and healthcare spheres. Before joining the Foundation, she held director-level roles with Scranton Primary Health Care Center and the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties, focusing on youth, families, seniors, and the community’s most vulnerable.
Born and raised in the Scranton area, Lisa has strong ties to the NEPA community. She is mission-driven and passionate about all efforts to strengthen and enhance the quality of life in the Foundation’s service area. When not at work, Lisa spends her free time exploring the beautiful parks and trails of Northeastern PA and hosting gatherings for family and friends.

As Operations and Grants Manager of Moses Taylor Foundation, Ellen Stevens coordinates office operations, procedures, resources and special events. In addition, Ellen assists in grantmaking and accounting activities and is responsible for processing all grant agreements and disbursements. Before joining the Foundation, Ellen held various leadership positions within Voluntary Action Center of Lackawanna County. After three decades working for a nonprofit service organization, Ellen appreciates the opportunity to now assist other nonprofits with enhancing their work.
Ellen has served on several local and state boards and committees and is currently a member of the Lackawanna County Interagency Council, NEPA Aging Network Alliance and PEAK Grantmakers. Ellen feels her people skills and attention to detail are a perfect fit for the Foundation and truly enjoys being part of a dedicated, inspiring and fun team!
