At Moses Taylor Foundation, we recognize that our mission of improving health can be achieved only through the partnership of effective, resilient, and well-resourced nonprofit organizations. The Foundation is committed to investing in both organization-specific and community-wide capacity building efforts.
The Foundation funds one-time investments in health-related nonprofit organizations for projects that enhance long-term sustainability and service provision. Examples include evaluation of program effectiveness, board or staff development, succession planning, strategic planning, or any other well-defined project that strengthens an organization's ability to fulfill its mission.

The Foundation also partners with organizations that provide community-wide learning opportunities and resources to engage groups of nonprofits interested in professional development and organizational change. Local partnerships include Scranton Area Community Foundation’s Center for Community Leadership and Nonprofit Excellence and The Institute, which compiles and shares locally focused data to aid in decision-making. The Foundation also partners with national organizations, including pro bono skills-based volunteering through Catchafire.
