Moses Taylor Foundation’s Board of Directors announces the appointment of Dr. Mary Sewatsky as Interim President/CEO beginning Monday, August 2, 2021 and the engagement of Kittleman & Associates to direct its executive search.

Dr. Mary Sewatsky is an emergency medicine physician and founding member of the Moses Taylor Foundation Board of Directors. In 2019 Dr. Sewatsky retired as Chief Medical Officer and Patient Safety Officer of Moses Taylor Hospital after over 30 years of service. A NEPA native with a deep commitment to our community, Dr. Sewatsky served on the boards of the Scranton/Temple Residency Program, Moses Taylor Health Care System, Rural Stroke Initiative, Task Force on Health Care at the University of Scranton, Northeast Regional Cancer Institute and NEPA Emergency Medical Services. Dr. Sewatsky has also volunteered with Children’s Advocacy Center in Scranton and her parish’s Care and Concern Health Clinic in Pittston.

Executive Search Firm Identified

Kittleman & Associates is a national executive search firm with extensive experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. The firm has a detailed understanding of the NEPA nonprofit community having recently led executive searches for Maternal and Family Health Services and Scranton Counseling Center. The firm is currently working with Foundation board and staff to develop a comprehensive leadership profile for the executive search. When complete, the position announcement will be broadly distributed and posted on the Foundation’s website.
