Strategic Plan

Advancing our legacy of health

Our 2019-2023 plan centers around five core strategies:

  • Expanding school-based health through broadly supporting school nurses and increasing the availability of school-based health centers
  • Reducing social isolation in older adults through public awareness, identification and connections to community resources
  • Cultivating responsive grants to identify and address community health needs
  • Championing increased investment in nonprofit capacity building
  • Strengthening the Foundation's capacity to operationalize its vision

We believe these strategies reflect the best opportunities for Moses Taylor Foundation to improve the health of Northeastern Pennsylvania over the next five years. It balances new initiatives to expand school-based health and reduce older adult isolation with a continued commitment to respond to a variety of pressing community health needs. It also reaffirms our commitment to investing in nonprofit capacity building and challenges the Foundation to expand our own capacity to serve the community.

Thanks so much to the many partners who participated in our planning process. We hope you see reflections of your insights and recommendations throughout our plan. Our mission, vision and core values remain the same. This plan sharpens our focus and defines the impact we will aim to achieve over the next five years.
